New Orleans, Louisiana – Hospitality Enterprises, known online as BigEasy.com, is excited to announce that four new management level employees have been added to its team which is spread across several different New Orleans hospitality divisions. The new positions include Director of Safety and Risk Management, Director of Sales, Human Resources Director and Digital Marketing Director.
Zane Webster, the new Director of Safety and Risk Management, comes to New Orleans from Purcellville, Virginia, a suburb of the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. Prior to getting fully into the transportation safety world, Zane spent a 20 year career as a firefighter. In that capacity, he was the Safety Officer for the Department, and left as a Battalion Chief. Some of those years, he also worked for Martz/Trailways, in the charter bus business, beginning as a driver and working up to the Safety Department, transitioning into a Safety Manager role after retirement from the Fire Department. Later, Zane was the Safety and Training Manager for the commuter and fixed route transportation systems of the Metropolitan Washington counties of Loudoun and Fairfax. He was responsible for Safety and Training for upwards of 350 drivers and nearly 500 buses.
Sally Tunmer joins Hospitality Enterprises as the Digital Marketing Director. Sally graduated Loyola University New Orleans with a Communications degree and later worked at the New Orleans online marketing agency FSC Interactive for three years. She left FSC Interactive as a Senior Account Executive and worked primarily on the New Orleans Tourism Marketing Corp. account as the managing editor for its official blog, GoNOLA.com, as well as the manager for all of the GoNOLA social media accounts and co-producer for its video and podcast series. Digital Marketing Director is a new position that was created for Hospitality Enterprises and Sally looks forward to developing strong online communities for its umbrella of businesses that function in tandem with their specific business goals.
Glenn Duhy oversees Hospitality Enterprises’ hotel sales division and has been in the hospitality industry for 30 years. Glenn started out setting up A/V at the Marriott and Sheraton hotels, then worked as a catering manager at the Meridian Hotel for three years. He then moved onto sales, handling the association market in the Mid West and West Coast for seven years, after which he moved to the New Orleans Convention & Visitors Bureau and handled the association Midwest Market for six years. Before coming to Hospitality Enterprises, Glenn worked at the Astor Crowne hotel handling the association Midwest/West Coast market for eight years. As the Director of Sales at Hospitality Enterprises, Glenn will be overseeing sales for the Creole Queen, Jean Lafitte Swamp Tour, New Orleans Tours, Airport Shuttle, meetings and special events.
Juli Walker Sholar, P.H.R. has 17+ years human resources experience in various industries including oil and gas, food service, social services, and healthcare. She holds the Professional in Human Resources national certification and is certified to train in management development, employee development, and behavioral interviewing. She most recently worked at Crescent City Physicians, Inc., a subsidiary of Touro Infirmary. She is now looking forward to being part of the Hospitality Enterprises team as the Human Resources Director. Juli is also involved in several charities in the New Orleans area. She is an Executive level Board Member with The March of Dimes-New Orleans Region. She is actively involved in fundraising for her son’s school, Lusher Charter Elementary. She is currently serving as a committee member of LASPCA and has been company team leader for American Heart Association and March of Dimes.
