Red Dress Run
Every year on the second Saturday in August the city of New Orleans comes together for a charity run hosted by the New Orleans Hash House Harriers. If you’re in the city and wondering why everyone is dressed the same in the French Quarter, this charity run has a very specific dress code – red dresses for all. Whether you're an avid runner, a casual walker, or just someone looking to join in on the fun, the Red Dress Run offers a unique way to experience the vibrant culture of New Orleans while giving back to those in need. So grab your best red dress and join us for a day of unforgettable fun, friendship, drinks, and philanthropy!
NOLA Pickle Fest
The NOLA Pickle Fest isn’t what you may think it is. It’s not a festival dedicated to pickles, although we’d be down for that! This event benefits the Brees Dream Foundation and is a festival-style pickleball tournament, featuring tournament-quality PickleRoll courts, live music, a celebrity exhibition match featuring Drew Brees, and VIP experiences. The event takes place at the Convention Center August 7th - 11th. For tickets, visit the official website.
Southern Decadence
Southern Decadence began in 1972 as a small gathering among friends and has since grown into a massive, week-long celebration featuring lively parades, electrifying dance parties, and an array of events that showcase the rich culture and unique spirit of New Orleans. Every Labor Day weekend, New Orleans bursts with color, energy, and pride as it hosts Southern Decadence, one of the largest LGBTQ+ events in the South. This vibrant festival, affectionately known as "Gay Mardi Gras," attracts thousands of attendees from around the globe, all eager to celebrate diversity, inclusion, and love. The festivities culminate in a grand parade held on the Sunday before Labor Day, winding its way through the historic French Quarter, with elaborate costumes, lively music, and an infectious sense of joy and camaraderie.
